I am passionate about photobooks. Like many, I think the photobook is the most effective medium for photographers to get their work seen by others. To me, a photobook is an exhibition in your hands that provides an easier way of sharing real prints than any other method. For this reason, I have been exploring the design and production of photobooks and zines for some time.

Over the past few years, the words and works of book designers Irma Boom and Yumi Goto have had a significant influence on my work. They talk extensively about the difference between a book of photos and a photobook. The idea of the ‘book as an object’ with the materials used being as important as the typography, design and content has provided me with the stimulus to engage with other like-minded photographers to work on new ideas and publication.
